Students make up the majority of staff at the SU and as a member of Student Staff, you will be the face of the Union and provide excellent customer service.

To contribute in a professional manner to the smooth and efficient running of Hertfordshire Students’ Union events at our venues. Must have background in sound or light and understand the operation of equipment. To have due regard for good customer care, equal opportunities and health and safety. Reporting into the Head of Operations, Operations Manager and the Duty Manager.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting students and gathering insights to drive positive change. Advice & Insight Assistants play a key role in supporting both the Herts SU Advice and Insight Teams; through engaging with students, triaging student queries, providing frontline advice, gathering data for student insight projects, and conducting outreach activities to enhance student engagement and awareness of Herts SU projects and services.

To support the Marketing team with our ambitious plans as we strive to raise the profile of the SU and drive engagement with students. Your comprehensive support will enable us to flourish in a range of areas, but particularly with both experiential and social media marketing. We’ll turn to you for everything from creative ideas and support on set through to content creation and print runs. You’ll make sure everything we do has student input, helping us to maximise our impact.

Societies Assistant
To help enhance the level of support available to societies, as well as providing general administrative support to all Students’ Union student groups. To be the main point of contact in the societies inbox and assist committees with the day-to-day running of their societies. This will involve liaising with societies, SCO’s, students, other Students’ Union departments, the University of Hertfordshire and local community.
